NEWORKer Lunches

Often when a person is working a contract, the opportunties to socialise are limited.

Our lunchtime meetings are about meeting others. Most importantly lunching with others who have seen the benefit of working "outside the organisation" through sharing experience and practical learning from others who are working on their own

Themes:
Thursday Lunchtime - this weekly gathering is a serendipdous event - one that just happens.  The subject matter around the table depends on who is there.  The environment is non-threatening and an opportunity to share if you are just setting out on the portfolio way.

They aim to

  • Raise awareness of issues arising from the changing nature of work
  • Provide a forum for debate and conversation of this topic
  • Create the space for collaboration between interest groups, researchers and NEWORK practitioners
  • Input into the policy debates around the future of work

Members are invited to gather other groups together for lunches on other days. If you are interested, complete the message on the Contact Page

Venue:
We meet in the Volunteer Centre Board Room, Level 3, Community House, 84 Willis Street at 12:30 pm for about one and a half hour. Tea and coffee are available. Koha.

A place to relax:
There is usually someone in attendance at the office/venue each Thursday.  You are welcome to pop in and interact with others, use the library or just have a sit.  Please do not hesitate to call or email us for more information.
